BELLE TERRE URGENT CARE TO OPEN IN LAPLACE SEPTEMBER 2015
LaPlace, Louisiana – WESTBANK URGENT CARE, the highest patient-volume urgent care on the Westbank, today announced they are expanding its facilities to a second location known as Belle Terre Urgent Care. The expansion allows for over 105,000 residents in both St. John the Baptist Parish and St. Charles Parish to have access to the same medical services and after-hours availability as Westbank Urgent Care in Gretna, Louisiana.
“Our decision to expand to LaPlace is to give back to our loyal, long-time patients from St.John Parish who travel more than 30 miles just to be treated at our Gretna location. We want to give patients in the surrounding [St.John Parish] area the same access to our medical services as our Westbank and New Orleans’ patients,” says Dr. Douglas Mehaffie, Medical Director of Westbank Urgent Care and Belle Terre Urgent Care.
The new facility, Belle Terre Urgent Care, will be supplied with the latest state-of-the-art medical equipment, technology, and medical software- just as Westbank Urgent Care. Belle Terre Urgent Care will also provide all the same medical treatment and services as Westbank Urgent Care. Medical services, include but are not limited to X-rays, EKG’s, lab tests, physicals and exams, vaccinations, treatments and a wide variety of minor medical procedures.
Belle Terre Urgent Care will be open seven days a week, 365 days a year. Hours on weekdays are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The clinic is also open on holidays.
Belle Terre Urgent Care’s GRAND OPENING is open to the public will take place on Saturday, September 12, from 6pm – 8pm. There will be entertainment for children and adults. Activities include a rock climbing wall, snoball truck, music, food and drinks, and a raffle with prizes.
Westbank Urgent Care, located in Gretna, is one of the region’s first urgent care walk-in clinics. Westbank Urgent Care treated more than 20,000 patients in 2014. Over the past three years, the clinic has added more extensive services to provide patients with treatment for addiction, weight loss, pediatrics, occupational medicine, and cosmetics. Westbank Urgent Care opened its doors in 2004 and serves patients from all areas in the Southern region of Louisiana.
