Taking full advantage of their skyrocketing popularity at the moment, the cast of Duck Dynasty are seemingly everywhere these days. Last night, a few of the Robertson brothers dropped by the Country Music Association Awards to dance alongside Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. That came two days after it was announced that the reality TV show’s cast would take part in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. When they’re not making appearances on the national stage, the Robertsons keep busy appearing at scores of Louisiana festivals and events. And, ever increasingly, the Robertsons appear to be getting involved in politics. The latest example comes in the form of an invite from 5th Congressional District GOP candidate Vance McAllister to a fundraiser at a country club outside Ruston next week. The invite features pictures of Jase and Willie Robertson that are nearly as large as McAllister’s photo. The fundraiser comes about three months after some key Republicans were reportedly pushing Willie Robertson to run for the 5th District seat that he’s now apparently backing McAllister for. “I ran for about a week, but I wasn’t aware that I was running,” Willie Robertson told reporters last month when asked if he has any political aspirations. “I never rule anything out. I like staying involved in politics, in trying to help shape things.” At an event in Monroe last month, Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson also appeared alongside McAllister at a fundraising event. —Steve Sanoski
