Command Sergeant Major Donald J. Everett
Another conference has been put into the books. We had a very good conference in Baton Rouge and some very important work got accomplished. We had one of our largest turnouts ever and I am very excited about our prospects for the future of the Louisiana National Guard Enlisted Association. We have a lot of work ahead for the new Executive Board. We have had more individuals volunteer to help the association by serving on committees or boards than we have had for a long time. A special “thank you” goes out to all those who have been willing to step forward and make a difference to improve LANGEA. We have made great progress, but still have our challenges ahead for us.
The LANGEA website is looking good and I encourage everyone to visit the www.langea.org website and learn more about our association. If anyone has any suggestions on how to improve the site or if there is anything you would like to see added, let us know. Be sure to use the link to the EANGUS site to learn about our national organization. While there sign up to “Answer the CALL,” to be able to respond to our legislators.
Our membership goal this year is to get 3000 members on the roster. Help us get there. We have matched the EANGUS membership drive of 100 new members in one month challenge. This shows we are on our way. We want your suggestions. Let us know where we can improve. Let us know if you have an issue you would like us to bring to the national or state which would be good for our members. We are your voice to both our state legislators and our national elected representative and senate members. LANGEA is the only association dedicated to the enlisted Soldiers and Airmen of the Louisiana National Guard.
